Kill the Noise custom soundz
Since he launched the project in January of '08. His productions have earned him recognition from both house music fanatics and world class DJ's alike. Success in the studio has created many interesting opportunities for the young producer. Most notably a busy worldwide touring schedule and a record label partnership with the infamous DJ Craze.
The Noise Machine features 4 different sounds I've created, mostly with Maelstrom Graintable Synths, that can be manipulated with the rotary knobs at the top of the device. I use it regularly, especially when I want to get some ideas down fast and don't want the hassle of designing a synth from scratch! I just open this thing up put some notes down and start tweaking.
This is a slight variation of a patch I created while writing a song called "Now Or Never" with the band Ultra Violet Sound out in Las Vegas earlier this year. Just a simple, useful bass patch that has both organic and electronic qualities. If I have a busy track, I've found this bass has a nice punch to it, but sits under the mix and makes everything gel.
A video game sounding lead patch with a little filter envelope on it. I decided to include this patch because I love it, but haven't written a song with it yet. So hopefully one of you put it to good use!
I made this patch for the remix I did of "I Can't Give You Up" by Swiss group Cryptonites. The main sampled riff in there is from a classic Prince song, so I wanted to make some funky sounding keys to go with it.
It's always fun to play with mentasm patches, and not all of us have a Juno-2 lying around. Besides, I got sick of just using other peoples samples so I made my own patch that I can manipulate and customize to my liking. For an extra bendy sound, try messin around with the Filter Envelope A,D,S,R parameters, and the Mod Wheel of course!
